For some children, getting from home to school can be the hardest part of the day.
Sensory sensitivities, anxiety and unfamiliar routines can make everyday travel difficult. Families told us they needed a more understanding approach. Safe-Journey SEN grew from those conversations.
Incorporated on 9 March 2026, Safe-Journey SEN is a community interest company limited by guarantee. We provide transport and community support around children’s individual needs. Our aim is simple: fewer barriers to education, more opportunities to take part and greater reassurance for families.
OUR SERVICES
Transport, supported park visits and community activities, shaped around each child. Our staff have enhanced DBS checks and work directly with parents.

We currently use two privately owned Tesla Model Y vehicles, one blue and one white. Every journey starts with checking the right fit for the child.

An electric vehicle option for individual and smaller-group journeys, subject to each child’s needs and agreed arrangements.
A second electric vehicle option, with travel arrangements discussed individually with families and referring partners.
Our next funding stage aims to add a CIC-owned electric people carrier, such as a seven-seat VW ID. Buzz. Final choice will reflect children’s needs, suitability and value.

OUR NEXT CHAPTER
We currently support four children and their families. Help us reach more families through funded delivery, dedicated drivers and future CIC-owned vehicles.
A COMMUNITY EFFORT
We welcome conversations with families, schools, local authorities and community organisations who share our ambition to make education and activities more accessible.
