THE PEOPLE BEHIND SAFE-JOURNEY

Community experience.
A shared purpose.

Meet the directors behind our ambition to make everyday journeys more accessible.

DIRECTOR

Ade Salami

A community organiser with experience in supported housing, social inclusion and practical support for people facing complex challenges.

Through Ikija Care, Ade supports adults with mental health needs, learning disabilities and autism, alongside people rebuilding their lives after prison. His work includes tenancy sustainment, access to appointments and everyday support that helps people build stability and independence.

Ade works with probation teams, local authorities, housing partners and other professionals to coordinate support. He also organises staff learning and development and founded Egba Royal Brothers and Sisters Worldwide to bring people together through cultural identity and community connection.

He brings this wider community perspective to Safe-Journey SEN by listening to individual needs, building relationships and helping remove practical barriers to participation. Ade also leads day-to-day coordination across services, supports staff, reviews risk and works with professionals when circumstances change.

DIRECTOR

Anthony Wickliffe

A director of Safe-Journey SEN C.I.C. with shared responsibility for the organisation’s direction, governance and community purpose.

Alongside Ade, Anthony helps oversee how the company develops its SEN transport project. His responsibilities include considering the organisation’s resources, commitments and the interests of the community it exists to serve.

That oversight includes helping ensure decisions about growth and service development are considered carefully. The priorities are understanding local travel needs, setting realistic expectations and building a service around children and their families.

Anthony contributes to company decisions and helps keep the community purpose central as the organisation develops. Together, the directors review feedback from families and partners and consider how the service can respond responsibly.
